Switch Money Disappearing Randomly

I’m playing Stardew Valley on Switch Lite.
I am in Year One Spring, Day 18 currently. I play single player, offline most of the time (I have no internet connection at home). The first time it happened, I convinced myself I must’ve spent it on something and forgot. This second time, I was just out in the town, when I dug at some worms and suddenly I went from 1,000 monies to 200 monies. It was really weird. I’ve seen a few only like 2 random posts on Reddit about losing money randomly but no one seems to know why.

Never heard of a glitch like that.. The only time you should lose money is if you get wrecked in the mines or fall asleep outside of your house at 2am.. I would start a new save file If it happens again.. A month isn't much to lose I started from scratch many times.. best of luck

I am on the Switch on Spring, Day 18 and lost money, but I'm on year 3. My money loss occurred AFTER I sold eggs and milk to Pierre. I saw the total but when I left the store my total was back to what it was when I first entered and All my items were already gone. Pierre must have a string tied to the money and yanked it out of my wallet as I got to the door.
