Fruit trees and regular trees under some scenarios can grow up right next to eachother.
While a fruit tree won’t grow when anything is near it and you can’t plant a regular tree next to another grown tree, there doesn’t seem to be anything explicitly stopping a regular tree from growing up when near a fruit tree.
This means that if a seed of a regular tree gets spread (through the natural seed spreading trees do) right next to a tile occupied by a fruit tree, it will grow as normal and you’ll have two trees right next to eachother.
Seems to be a bug that would be present on all platforms however there isn’t a prefix for all platforms here on the forums.
