Xbox Mining glitches and game crashes in splitscreen co-op with 1.6

Playing local coop split screen on PS4. About 10% of all levels freeze as soon as i enter as the host. Enemies are still, rocks can be destroyed but loot can’t be picked up, and any animation are stuck on screen like swining a sword. I have been leaving and re-entering last checkpoint to solve, but have been difficult to reach new checkpoints in time this way. Very annoying.

I've never posted here before, but wanted to try and let the dev team know about some issues I experienced while playing the new update on Xbox series X. I was playing splitscreen local co-op with my girlfriend, who is really excited for the new stuff in the update, and mostly ran into issues while mining. After about 9 levels in the mines there would be visual glitches when swinging the pickaxe or breaking rocks, leaving after images of the swing motion stuck in midair, a little after this the game crashed. When we reloaded it, it did it again after around 9 levels, but I left the mines before the game crashed and we were able to play just fine still. So, it seems mostly associated with the mines, but we did have the game crash on us one other time last night while we were on the farm, she was watering and I was opening up a chest at the same time and then it froze and crashed and we called it a night there. It was also during winter, I'm not sure if that would matter. I was just playing solo and had no issues, although I didn't mine at all.

no matter what my SO and I do on our farm (I host on switch, we do split screen and also dual system co-op) I glitch in the mines and the game crashes. same things happen where images are left behind and everything freezes. we've just settled to me being on solo sometimes and him missing out on days so I can get my mining XP up even though we are both sad about it.

I’m also on Xbox Series X, have the same issue. Ours is about every 3 floors. I’ve tried switching who goes down ladders first and it doesn’t matter. Still glitches.

PS4 user here! It happens any leveled area, skull cavetn and mines. Mines are easier to fix but skull mines makes it super hard to overcome.
For other frustrated fellows, in skull caverns you can still come up to pits when you blow area or dig and jump in. It gets fixed when you get to next level. My SO left as Player 2 when we noticed the bug once again, I continued anyway and managed to jump a pit that opened. Not a workaround, or definitely not a fix, maybe only if you are lucky :)

Came here to say I’m experiencing the same bug on Switch spilt-screen co-op. Animations are still, monsters don’t move, if I break rocks I can’t collect any stone, coal, etc. I usually just keep breaking rocks until I find the stairs and the next level usually works fine, just is unfortunate I waste energy just to find the stairs without getting any resources. It doesn’t happen on every level but it happens quite a bit. It happens more when my friend and I both go in the mines but does happen occasionally if I go alone.

I also have been experiencing this glitch. I have been playing on PS5, and playing split screen co-op. It has done this when 1 person is in the mines and when multiple people are in the mines. It has done it on a farm for 2 and a farm for 3, but I have always had the Meadowlands Farm. I don't know if it happens to anyone other than player 1, but I have only noticed it affecting player 1. When this glitch is in effect, it is not possible to pick up items that have been mined or dropped by enemies. The animations are frozen except for the ability to walk, and you can still interact with ladders. Once you go to the next level, the glitch can disappear (but reappear on any future floor as well).
