Minimum villagers for non-Joja community center?

Demetrius- Gives you a cave, need to figure out if he’s skippable
Greatly appreciate all the responses and ideas!

Edit: Also, what about Pam? Do I need to talk to her to unlock / take the bus? Never really had a goal of avoiding her before, and I can't recall what is and is not required for that whole thing to occur. I guess I'll find out when I get there but if someone knows offhand whether interaction with her is / is not required to farm the skull cavern I'd certainly appreciate it.
We can skip Pam and Demetrius by not making 25,000g until we complete the vault by selling everything on the day at a shop

Willy is definitely not but I’m not prepared for the nightmare fuel that would be required to skip him; even with Blade’s RNG predictor we would be talking years upon years of in game time, plus I like fishing and it’s thematically appropriate for a self sufficient hermit type character.
He could be skipped if you get lucky with the costs at the travelling merchant

I've verified, the Community Center event doesn't trigger until you enter the area on the next sunny day *after* the last bundle is done. Even if you were ok with leaving the desert, desert trader, and skull cavern inaccessible, you'd sell all your stuff (to whom?), turn in the vault with the profits, and then go to sleep, and as you headed out the door to trigger the community center cutscene, he would ambush you. So it's not a viable strategy, he's effectively unskippable as far as I can tell.

As far as Willy, it's not about the costs, it's about the time. If you're relying on it for 24+ different items, it could be *year 11* before one of them shows up. That's assuming you get a seed where they all show up at all, which is not guaranteed. I'm perfectly fine with completing this run by leaning on Willy and someone one upping it by skipping him as well XD

Sadly yes. 12:40 AM. In the Rain. On the 9th of Summer. Year 2.
So yeah, even ignoring how impossible it would be to try to sneak out at 8 every night to get everything done for the bundles, sadly Marnie seems well and truly unskippable.

Out of curiosity, I've seen you recommend a couple of times now not opening the inventory to avoid adding Robin and Lewis. While this is true and it does work that way, how would you propose we verify the villagers who have and have not been met at the end of it all, if not via the listing in the inventory? It sounds absurdly difficult, but honestly less of a nightmare than skipping Willy, so I'm certainly not disregarding the idea. I've just yet to see a suggestion for a practical way to verify the results at the end which won't show the two of them as having been met.
shame, she’s definitely going to have to be met that means. Brings it up to 2 musts

Well you can verify you don’t know them by the fact that you don’t receive the Pierre quest board quests from them. You only receive quests from npcs you know.

and “at the end” of the run it doesn’t matter at all, just open your inventory and see, the run is over at that point and therefore doesn’t matter. You can also just open the inventory to see, then close then game and restart the day.

I guess this comes down to the question of are you counting the completion of all the bundles as finishing the cc or watching the cc completion cutscene as finishing it?

also selling to shopkeeps doesn’t meet them I don’t think so selling day of goods is fine

So we have 3 if you want to wait possible years, 4 if you don't and consider finishing the CC just finishing all the bundles and 5 if you don't
You're missing 1;
If you consider finishing the CC to be finishing all the bundles, when you check your social tab before or after turning in the last one it'll show Robin, Lewis, Marnie, and the Wizard at a minimum. I don't think logistically it's actually possible to have neither Willy nor Demetrius as the fish alone costs an average of over 12k if you're getting them all from the cart, but it's not technically impossible I just don't buy a run ever being completed with just the 4. Not really relevant to me anyways though.

I consider finishing the CC to be watching the cutscene, after all that's what the game considers to be completing it for the purpose of achievements and so forth. Thus for me, checking the social tab just before triggering it, I'm guaranteed to have at minimum 5 - Robin, Lewis, Marnie, the Wizard, and Demetrius. Since I want to actually enjoy the run I'll have 6 (Willy), assuming I don't stumble across unexpected cutscenes, accidentally pick up cloth, or anything like that. Not getting hearts and thus avoiding cutscene triggers will be key; does anyone know if the cutscene availability for 2+ hearts (triggered once the BB is finished) will go away if I wait until they "cool off" back down to 1 heart before leaving my farm again?

I think once triggered the events will happen, even if hearts go down again. But do you even get hearts before you meet someone?

Haven't ever tested before, not at all sure. At a minimum then I need to identify what the 2 heart events are for the 6 on the list, but I'll likely test against a 2 heart with someone else when the opportunity arises (*may* be able to test at the Luau otherwise definitely can test once the BB is finished) just so we know with certainty either way.
