I've seen a few threads that cover parts of this but just thought I'd put down my experiences here for posterity sake. Like a lot of people I experience crashing through out the day, usually at the end of the day after around 3 nights but if we restart the game after around 3 days it seems to avoid this (I read elsewhere this was a memory issue?). However this post is pmainly about the glitches in multiplayer as they are really affecting our enjoyment of the game.
Mines and Skull Cave: The problem is largely the same between the mines and the skull cave, if player 1 (left side of screen) goes down a level first, the game will glitch - monsters won't move, the animations for attacks freeze and stay on the screen and nothing can be picked up. If player 2 follows them into this level it can also affect you, but you can still pick stuff up, either way you both have to leave and start again to progress (brutal for skull cave..). To get around this we only ever go into the skull caves and mines together, and player 2 always goes down levels first. This is a work around but still a pretty crappy experience. It makes a lot Qi challenges and skull cave deep dives effectively impossible.
Lava Cavern: This one is a little weirder, as player 2 I can not enter the Lave Cavern on my own or else I have a bug whereby there are no enemies, no rocks to break and every floor is an empty version of the ground floor. This allowed me to accidentally get to the 5th floor and then let me take the shortcut straight to the top of the lava cavern and skip ever actually doing it. If we want to do the lava cavern now player 1 constantly needs to go first or else the next floor just ends up being an empty version of the ground floor.
On its own the crashes can be manageable but together with all the co-op bugs this has been a tough play through and pretty frustrating. Is there any word from CA acknowledging this or whether there is a fix in the pipeline?
Hoping for a fix soon :)
