iOS Mayor Lewis absent from Festival of Ice

Mayor Lewis isn’t present at the festival of ice. The fishing competition can’t begin because he’s not there to get it started. Everyone else is present and having nice conversations with my character. I tried restarting the game, but he’s still MIA. This is for update 1.6.

Could you share screenshots? That’s weird…

Can you find him outside the festival that day? Does he follow his normal routine?

Yes it was weird. I didn’t look for him outside the festival because it wouldn’t have helped with the ice fishing contest if he was somewhere else. I googled the issue and found other incidents of Lewis disappearig. It seems to be some kind of weird bug. Anyway, I can’t send you a screenshot because I’ve moved on. He usually stands at the top of the ice pond, but instead there was just a blank space. I scoured the entire festival area. No Lewis. Everyone else was at the festival making their usual snowmen and getting ready to fish.
