Marriage questions

So i'm still kinda new to the game in terms of most stuff, but I wanted to know how the actual date thing works. I know it gets pushed back on certain event days, but is it three days after you ask that the ceremony happens, or does it include the day you ask? Like if I wanted to get married on the 13th, would I ask on the 10th or the 9th?

Well, the Wiki says, when you ask at Monday the 1st, the ceremony is on thursday the 4th. And if a festival is about to happen at your ceremony day, your wedding will be the day after it.

I like to think everyone goes to the saloon after the ceremony to eat whatever Gus' dish of the day is, and dance to the jukebox.
Nice thought... But since you and your spouse appear at your front porch right after kissing, would be a bit unfair if the guests get a party. 😏

Or it could be like the roman calendar, which had 12 months of 30 days, and then between those years, there was a 5 day festival which didn't count because they thought you didn't age at a party. So, everyone in town party for a day that don't get added to the calendar.

Not to mention it's all over before 6am and you're back home with new spouse! I wonder if they ever come across Krobus or the Dwarf sneaking about at 5:30am while setup is happening?
It is crazy lol. A marriage ceremony is nothing in Pelican town. 3 days of preparation and 1 hour for the ceremony itself. A wedding takes so much longer IRL. Wish it was like in Stardew lmfaoooo.

I don't see why only some of the spouses keep their jobs. they legit QUIT and then DONT EVEN help with farm chores. they sit around all day
Not everyone becomes a layabout.

Maru keeps her job at Harvey's Clinic
Emily works at the Saloon Mondays and Fridays
Penny still teaches Jas and Vincent
Elliott ditches you to go on a freekin' book tour!
Harvey still works at his Clinic Tuesdays and Thursdays

Abigail, Alex, and Haley don't have jobs so no loss there. Leah still works on her carvings, just at the farmhouse now. I'm not sure Sebastian exists so no comment.

But yeah Shane leaving his Jojajob even if Joja is still open is disappointing and Sam no longer working at Joja or the Museum is lame.

One would like to see more done with Haley and her photography. Like Leah, she spends her Saturdays working on her art. Maybe she could give the farmer a gift with a comment like "I sold a photo to {periodical name} so I got you this."
