Switch Mannequins not working

I'm on switch and I haven't found anyone else with this same issue. My mannequins will not let me put clothes on them, only rotate. They all worked at the beginning. It started with one out of my four (an outfit for each season) but now none of them will let me put any kind of clothing item on them. I've tried switch the type of mannequin, selling them and buying new ones, trying to put on individual pieces at a time. I've also tried moving their location and putting them outside. I'm at a loss, please help!

Maybe try putting it in yobas shrine and see if that changes anything

I don’t have a switch, but which buttons do you use to put clothes on the mannequin and which button to rotate them and pick them up?

are they currently wearing any clothes?
