Luau - tile for the soup can't repeat to spend it?

Sorry for my english. Is only a Question.
I mean, in the Year 1 I have spend an Pumpkin with Goldstar to the soup on Luau.
In Year 2 I spend another thing (I forgot about this, which was it).
Now in the Year 3 I wish to spend again an Pumpkin with Goldstar, but this is grey and I cant pickup it for the soup. Whats happens?
Must I learn, which things I have to do in this soup?!

If a tile is grey, it is no longer possible to choose it. Perhaps you already put something in the soup without realizing that you did it? There is only one opportunity to add to the soup each Luau.

I like to add cabbage. It's always a good choice.
