I found a bug where if you place one of the four hats that can be sold at the lost items shop (Emily's Magic Hat, Gil's Hat, Golden Helmet, and ???) on Rarecrow #3 (Alien), the hat will appear in the lost items shop the next day.
I am on version 1.6.15 build 24356 on a Windows 11 PC.
After achieving Perfection, I placed ??? on my alien rarecrow, and the next time I visited the secret woods, I saw the hat in the shop. I wasn't sure how I lost it, so I bought the hat and realized I have two ???s.
