Lost important items

Lost pick axe in my first game:
After reading posts it seemed to be a glitch with the dessert.. frustrating.. but I can start a new game

started a new game: now my watering can is missing..

I have done the following to find them:
Looked on the refrigerator - no
Checked the lost and found at the mayors house -no
Asked to see if it can be found - no
Looked next to my bed - no.. even moved the bed around to look for it
Checked in all my chests- multiple times.. no luck
Doesn’t show when I try to upgrade at the blacksmith.. just completely gone

1st game .. could be human error
2nd game… starting to doubt human error

anyone have any other recommendations?

Did you check at Marlon’s?

that they don’t show at Clint doesn’t mean they’re gone, it’ll only show items in your current inventory.

whenever I couldn’t find something, it ended up being in a chest that I checked several times, but I’m admittedly bad at searching. I always have to take out all items 1 by 1 to make sure I don’t overlook anything.

Which system are you playing on?

FOUND!!!
Both my pic axe and watering cans have been found.
I found them in chests near my house!!

My missing Tools prefer to hang in the Refrigerator with the Fruit Salad and Spicy Eel. I suspect they've got a D&D scenario going and get annoyed when I need my Watering Can and now they've got no Thief to pick locks.
