1.6 Update Lost [1.6 item] in ocean

Hey all, been loving the new update. Was playing with the GF when they accidentally dropped a skill book to me, which went into the ocean instead of onto the pier. Will we ever be able to find more copies of it? We were unable to get it out of the water. Unlike other items, it didn't *sploosh* out of existence, it just sat on the waves, and disappeared when we slept.

That sucks, but there are multiple copies of each book. You can get a small amount of experience by re-reading them or hand them over to another player who hasn't read them before. So you should come across that specific book again.

In addition when you get a book you've already read, some can be bartered to the Bookseller in exchange for different items.

I believe every book can be gotten an infinite amount of times. Shouldn’t be too much of an issue but you’ll miss out on it for now.

How do you recognise which book you have already had? In the inventory, only those books appear that grant a special power, not the many quarterlies or weeklies for the XP points.

Books that you've already read are marked when in your inventory or at the bookseller. The descriotion will also start by telling you "Rereading this will grant..."
