Looking for advice as a newby

Hey all :)

Sorry if this is the wrong spot on the forums.

Just jumped on as a newbie, and was hoping to play with my partner.

We just have one switch with a couple of controllers, what's the best way to go about it?

Would we just start co-op and then play on the one farm? I'm not sure how this works, is it both of our farms? Or does one need to technically host for the other to use it on their own switch profile?

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

If you have a switch I’d totally play multiplayer split screen. It’s a load of fun to play with someone else and if you are both new you are still going to experience the game as new players without someone experienced rushing you or spoiling you along the way.

I would just say, keep a few of every item you get. Money will be hard to come by at the start, but every Stardew Valley player will tell you to keep even what seems like useless items. There really is no magic number of how much of each item to keep, so just keep some.
