Lookin' for an artist!

Farmer Evie

Planter
In my fanfic that I'm writing (you can find the first two chapters in the Fan Works) I thought that it would be really cool to have an illustrator! If you want to do it, here's some rules/guidelines/requirements:
  • You must be willing to work for free. I have no stable way of paying you.
  • If you want to give it a crack, start a conversation with me and send a sample piece of art.
  • After much deliberation, I will pick a shortlist of artists who can then proceed to send me a cover art sample, and then pick a finalist who will be the illustrator.
  • If chosen, send your pics on the thread (First time writing a fanfic! - Started by moi, Farmer Evie) and give a footnote of when it is set in the story.
  • Entry can be a sketch, painting, any medium ig, but if chosen medium must be consistent.
You can send any piece of art, whether it be one you've already done and are proud of, or one you've created after seeing this. Good luck and get drawing!

Sounds cool! If you want very serious high quality illustrations, I'm afraid those are mostly reserved for only my most beloved OCs (and I'm bad at drawing actual scenes right now anyway, I specialize in characters standing in voids for some reason)... But I could do slightly lower quality and silly sketchy stuff.

Same. I have a lot of unfinished comics and there's a lot of close-ups because I can't draw hands that well consistently or at any rate and I hate drawing backgrounds.

Gosh, hands and backgrounds are both such a struggle  Especially once you start getting perspective involved. BUT as much as I love discussing the joys and pains of the artistic process, we are getting slightly off track.
Does the sort of art style I described sound ok, or nah? I can post some art as an example too, I just wouldn't be able to message it privately because image hosting.

I'm not looking for a lot of art seeing as the story isn't moving as fast as it should be. Please post some sample art just so I can picture the style easier. Thanks in advance!

Oh, alright. It's fairly simple, so if a moment of learning desire does come, I (or someone else) could explain it.
Thanks for the offer! You just upload a thing to a site and put in the link though, right? I guess the real thing is that I don't want to make a random account for a thing I'll only use once, or accidentally run into something Bad, but maybe I'll be able to find something that avoids both those problems

Yup. And Postimages can be used without an account and I think it should be trustable with how many people here use it.
