Hello, whenever I try to open the game there's an issue where it takes a LONG time to load before opening. When it does eventually open, the game will freeze on nearly every click of a new button. When I hit new game, it freezes for a long time,, when I try to change any of the farmer options (color of anything, gender, clothing) the game freezes too. Once I get through this, when I go to play it will completely stop working and be stuck in a "Not Responding" state.
This happens with and without SMAPI, and I have uninstalled the game and reinstalled it. It had been working completely normally and fine even after the 1.6 update, and I'm pretty sure with all of the mods that I have now. It started out of nowhere and I haven't been able to fix it outside of using the compatibility mode (which I really just don't want to use). This has happened to me before but I was able to fix it by deleting the startup preferences file, which isn't working this time.
