I know I’ve seen this cutscene before with no problem. On the current save I’m playing on the first time it started it had just turned to five pm on the first day of the traveling market festival, so I assumed the little pop up saying it had begun messed it up. So I restarted the day and tried again except earlier in the day. This time it showed the first two clips where him and Linus are making dinner, and then all the kids with penny in the library. Then the same thing happened it was just a black screen like the next clip was still waiting to show or something. The music was still playing and I was able to go into my inventory.
I’m really not sure why this is happening. Both times I waited a few minutes and it didn’t help.

The night market? You may want to wait with activating that scene a few days until the night market's done with. There's a different map inserted for the beach those 3 days, which messes up the part where you see him and Willy fishing down at the beach.
