Xbox 'Legend' bug

My boyfriend and I play multiplayer split screen on Xbox.

He was catching the Legend fish. He caught it as it was just about to hit 2am (it let him finish catching it.) but when he finished and his character passed out, he woke up in the game to realize the fish wasn't put in his inventory. He didn't have a full inventory.

It says in the fish tank that he caught it.

He's very sad as he was collecting all the legendary fish in tanks and it will be the only one he doesn't have.

We tried exiting the game without sleeping again and that didn't work.

it might not make up for it, but later you can get a legend2 from one of Qi's quests. This would be way later in the game though and might not be worth it.

actually I think its one per player, so you could probably catch one.

I already caught all mine, he has his own seperate fish tanks he wanted to fill. Thank you though!
