Rahnee
Planter
So named because I'd been watching old Westerns and all the ranches seemed to be named after shapes and letters... and I thought it sounded nice. This wasn't the first farm I took to perfection, but it's the one I've invested the most in, hope y'all like it!
This farm makes ~40 million gold in a year. Here's the breakdown!
I always plant a recurring crop (strawberries/blueberries/cranberries) around the Junimo hut in the southwest, and rhubarb/starfruit/pumpkins in the smaller patch below the house (which is the original field, basically unchanged). The smaller field yields 128, which fits perfectly into one keg or preserve shed. The two left sheds of the three in a row in the middle are for kegs and look like this:
I can't take credit for this layout (saw it somewhere else), but I like it because it fits 127 kegs, plus an indicator outside makes 128 - adding lamps in the corners costs nothing with this, it's only 2 less than the absolute max (on mobile), and the nerd in me loves the power of 2.
The rightmost shed in that row is for processing eggs, roe, and mushrooms:
Since I stopped needing/utilizing the farm cave, I let the wizard turn into a little workshop:
I think the Junimos like hanging out here, although they did take over the last unclaimed space below the greenhouse for a mini-village.
The cabin in the southeast is for times I want some time away from the hustle and bustle, so it's a little getaway tucked into some trees. Though I do have to go by on the way to the preserve sheds down there.
There are 224 jars in those two sheds, plus the remaining various machines that don't get used hardly ever:
The reason for the 224 is the setup of Ginger Island, for which I'm going to add a post.
The slime hutch is probably fairly normal in its layout, started with green and blue slimes. I find that I actually prefer watching my outdoor slimes. It's a self-sustaining population, originally started with red and blue slimes exclusively. Slime genetics sure are interesting!
The matching shed above the slime hutch looks like this - I wanted to make my own display shed for not just museum things, although there is some significant overlap.
Besides the minerals, on display are specialty gems, foragable flowers, mushrooms and roots, ores, prismatic roe (and mystic syrup in there cuz I think it's pretty), and monster loot. I fit all but one of the Lupini paintings here as well, the last one is in the house.
