Juninho Hut in Greenhouse

Good lord... the junimo hut is gigantic compared to the interior of the greenhouse. I wouldn't want one in there because it would take up too much space and I couldn't grow as much ancient fruit in there.

The possibility of having a Junimo Hut in the greenhouse would be a big help and shave down some time from harvesting by hand.

Very true, what if the Junimo hut was touching the greenhouse on the outside then they would harvest what's inside.
Also I'd love if they collected truffles put them near your pig area and get that labor.

It takes up 6 squares. And I think that would be the question for each farmer to answer; do they personally want the space or the free labour more? I'm lazy and not into optimizing so I would trade running around my greenhouse in a panic for a few extra plants in a heartbeat.

It seems on par with other in-game tradeoffs (better quality forage vs more wood/hardwood, for example.)

Not being @FilthyGorilla , I think I'd likely very gladly trade a few tillable spots in the Greenhouse for the efforts of the in-game totally-not-slaves who just wanted to escape entrapment at the Stardew Valley Community Center after E.T's ship left them behind because someone remembered they'd left the oven on back at their homeworld orchard. Avoiding fire hazards is always prudent.

So they finally make it back after tiring of the laughably predictable efforts of one noob Farmer they rope into doing all sorts of fetch quests like she's some base raccoon or crow. Far more entertaining than the tall purple guy they refused to talk to just to see the fantastic faces of frustration that faker would make.

But of course someone just has to ruin paradise with their big ideas, by saying that after their extended and trying experience at Stardew Valley, the young 'uns are getting soft with their easy life and why don't they just go out and get a job and stop playing games on their Xbark console? Ultimately the parents win out and send those unappreciative ingrates to a work-study program... right back in Stardew Valley and they even recruit Purple Mute Boy as their lackey to do all the release forms and housing and tax-related paperwork. The kids, after having fits and changing all the passwords on the mycelium network, get shipped off and start working outside for some short furry thing who looks suspiciously familiar to the oldies' stories, but they at least got some lame legal exemption where minors can only work on sunny days and never indoors.

Bah! The Greenhouse is the next logical step for these Junimo job placement services, and after all we're sacrificing tillable spots on the regular farm so these entitled brats can get some extra resume-padding. But what we really need is Junimo pack mules for Skull Cavern runs!

I'll even write them a letter of recommendation for that. After a few years, of course...

What's to stop it being able to be built on the "fruit tree ring", thus not taking up any Sprinkler-able crop space?

I don't think a system whereby (once setup) you can gain crops without doing a single thing has a place in Stardew; at that point you can AFK farm income, all you have to do is sell the crops.

To a certain extent, this is already possible with Auto Grabbers, Auto Petters, Auto Feeders and Silos, but it requires significantly more effort to get equal reward, and so the Effort In vs. Reward Out is more balanced IMO.

I also think that not being able to have auto-harvesting is part of the trade-off of using the Greenhouse/Ginger Island; you can't have everything (because you already only need to plant once).

So if this was going to be implemented, to make it more balanced, maybe the Junimo Hut (when in the Greenhouse) could only hold 1 or 2 stacks of items (rather than the full 36), and would act like a Fish Pond, and so you wouldn't get any starred crops?

I feel that this idea needs limits, otherwise all other forms of money-making will become even more insignificant than they currently are.
