Joja

Look dudes and gals I'm contemplating buying a Joja membership instead of completing CC. Too much stress to complete CC. Maybe in another save. BUT I wanted to know if there are any downsides aside from the obvious moral dilemma. Also how hard is it getting the money to actually do the repairs?.

Haven't you asked a few posts ago how to make money in Spring Y1?

Since my current playthrough is a little bit cheated, I would say, start in Meadowlands with two chickens, sell and rebuy them from Marnie and named them with the Item ID for e.g. a treasure chest or Prismatic shard? The Chests sell for 5000 g...

Yeah but I deleted that save and now I'm starting another one. I don't wana use cheats tho. It's more so I'm asking is Joja that much easier than CC and also are there any downsides. Also how hard it is actually putting aside that money from your earnings.

Well, then Idk if it's easier, didn't go the Joja Route so far, since getting enough money is always a thing for me in first game 🤷

I do think it should be easier as you don't have to keep track of everything like the CC.
That's a good point indeed. So you only have to make money... Maybe Robin or Clint are also selling instructions on how to build a money printing machine? Although, Pierre or Lewis would probably keep those in their secret hideout so that no one else could use them...

Lewis probably has one in his basement.

Try it out, there's no real downside in a gameplay sense, and you can always redeem yourself on another save by doing the cc if you care about that.

Joja is easier because all you have to do is figure out how to make money, not track items. The one minor downside is that you don’t get the gifts from the Junimos, which give a little boost early. CC also forces you to learn a lot of game basics, but that only matters on the first playthrough.

I don't really care about redemption. Moral code can go to hell I'm not burning someone's house down. But yeah i guess I could start another save later.

I'm familiar with the game enough to not need the basic guidance of CC. Tracking items is hell for me. I do like big numbers so getting money is fun lol.
