Joining your friend's co op worlds, while they are offline

OK I explained the idea in the title and I don't have other things to lol

I'm open for discussion tho it'll be fun to see your thoughts about it
 
That's difficult. Every player is owner of ones own game(s) and offers a server others must connect to for playing together.
When the owner is offline there is nothing to connect to!

Maybe CA & the Devs could offer a way to copy a game easily so you can start with a copy of the friends game. But then you play this copy, not the original!

Yeah i know how complicated it'll sounds, but it'll be nice if it happened

There is a way to do this but it involves some trickery and is super awkward to maintain and play.
It involves the host always keeping an online game active in multiplayer while paused which means that the game will only progress when another player is online, the only downsides are you have to keep stardew open constantly and you have to pass out every night which can get tiring.
