For some items with longer descriptions, either due to effects (luck etc) or text, the hover box will get cut off. It seems stuck to the pointer, and doesn't compensate enough for the lack of screen space beneath it.
Sometimes we can manipulate the shop list by going down and then up, so that the problematic item isn't at the bottom of the list. However, if the item actually is at the bottom, this obviously is not possible. Below is one such example. The book seller has the same issues, and the dwarf in the Volcano.
