Xbox Island Trader doesn't trade Golden Coconuts for Coconuts after using Joja Corp Parrots.

I paid the joja corp parrots to find all golden walnuts before having opened a golden coconut and received the golden walnut from it, so I can't receive a golden walnut from the golden coconut now (makes sense). Since then, I have found and opened multiple golden coconuts at clints, but the trader doesn't have golden coconuts as a trading option despite the fact it should be fixed stock following the player having opened a golden coconut. I wonder if receiving the walnut is a dependency of some kind, but because I can't receive a walnut from one, I wonder if I can never get the golden coconut trading option.

I play on Xbox in case that's relevant.

I've had a similar issue without using the joja parrots, and there have been other reports as well, some of people who had previously been able to trade for golden coconuts and had it disappear after the update. Personally my save just never gave me access despite not reaching ginger island until after updating to 1.6.9, and I have now successfully found all golden walnuts, so I don't think it's because you didn't collect the golden walnut, just a general glitch.

(I'm on switch, on a save that started on 1.5.4 and updated to 1.6.9 at the start of year 4.)

I did not go the Joja route, and the Golden Coconut option is gone for me too. Xbox, started before 1.6 released.

I also can’t buy Golden Coconuts from the Island Trader on Xbox. I’ve opened about 3 Goldens and the Wiki says opening one triggers it in the shop. I didn’t do the Joja Parrot either. I’m on a new save that started after 1.6.
