is there any way to get it to rain?

i am on year two and i need walleye to complete the community center. i have been trying since year one but it don't rain in winter time so i can't get it in winter. now it's fall year two and no rain and this is day 20. i usually see walleye on the cart also but not this time. is it possible to start the day and check the weather for rain the next day? and then if it's not going to rain, quit and start again?

The schedule for rain is already predetermined so I'm afraid you can't just change it by "soft reset".
What you can do though, if you have the resources, is to craft Rain Totems which guarantee rain on the next (non-festival) day.

There may be some known shenanigans/glitch that make certain saves not able to experience a normal amount of rain, so I'm not sure if that's what you are experiencing. Regardless, Rain Totem is the answer.

You need Foraging Level 9 to get the Rain Totem's recipe so hopefully you're that far along. If not, then chop loads of Trees as that will probably be the quickest way to level up your Foraging. If you're short of Energy or even time, chopping down the Tree gives almost all the Foraging experience (14XP) while the Stump gives very little (2XP). Chopping Large Stumps and Logs, and Hoeing Artifact Spots also give good XP. And if you get lucky, reading the new Woodcutter's Weekly and Book Of Stars books give a ton of Foraging XP.

Also of note: the walleye only shows up during rain, but rain and snow are two different weather's, meaning that the only way to catch a walleye in winter is actually by using the rain totem, as it will never rain naturally during the season

fantastic. i was foraging 9 b ut i had to get trufle oil and had to make a oil maker machine. when i triggered the rain totem and checked the weather it said rain all day. now itg is raining and try to catch a walkeye, it says mountain lake. walleye will complete my community center!!!

so i finished and just went through the community center welcoming. that was so cute i want to save it and see it again. but i'm playing on the xbox. i can save it and have to start a new game. oh well... thanks to you guys who have helped me fish and other problems. it took years to get here... ;btw. that was a combine i drove when i was 12. no cab and combining oats was the most miserable job i could think of. 70 years ago.

Congratulations! 🎉 Job well done! It is really hard even for the long time players. If you want to see it again there are plenty of You Tube videos of it. 🥰
