• 25% chance from a Mystic Stone in the Mines at floors 100+, Skull Cavern, and Quarry.

Well ever since 1.6+ I think they are too hard to obtain, especially early game. They were already statistically reduced in 1.6+, PLEASE CA do not make them any harder.

As for your question about modding, yes there are several mods that both increase and decrease ability to find various ores and gems. I used mods from Nexus so they have tons to choose from there. Hope you find one you like!
