Is Grandpa okay?

On my first evaluation, I got 3 candles lit. I was only one point off for four candles, so I planned on placing a diamond on his shrine for a re-evaluation (I was 20 friendship points off with Vincent!). I bought a lot of crops from Pierre, though, so my first free day was on the third. I went to skull caverns and immediately found a diamond node, so I did my foraging at the desert and went home because, well, I'm already rich in Qi coins, so what else is there to do ? I placed it on grandpa's shrine and went to bed. He told me he was too harsh last time (he wasn't, he told me that i was doing great), but that's not the point. What I'm concerned about is the fact that he said, "Wow, you've really turned the place around since we last spoke!"

3 days have passed. I literally didn't do anything except for talk to Vincent. Is he okay? Does anyone have any theories? Also, how come I just tapped the shrine from the other side of the farm, somehow still got the statue, and said "You found a statue behind the shrine" or something when I didnt even go over there and just tapped it all the way from my spouse area? Anyone have any Grandpa theories about this or just any interesting theories you have about him?

Ghosts don't have the best memory and they lose track of time really easily, so I'm sure everything is fine!

Just kidding, and his dialogue about him being a bit tough is remnant from some of the earliest versions of the game when he was a bit more brutal with his evaluations, CA took the lines themselves out but maybe not the ones referencing it, or it was implemented to players who had gotten the mean dialogue and reevaluated.
