Stardew Valley version: 1.6.15.24354
iPadOS version: 18.4
iPad hardware: iPad Air 13-inch (M2)
In game language: English
Single player
Control input: Hand fingertips and sometimes Apple pen (both reproduce the issue)
In iOS and iPad OS there is always a bar at the bottom of the screen which replaced the old physical home button. When in-game and the user taps this bar twice quickly, Stardew Valley will enter an unrecoverable state. This state behaves exactly like as if you had a controller/keyboard and one of the keys to move the character is stuck pressed down. Usually this is the down button.
I am able to reproduce this with 100% success. The only workaround I’ve found is to force close the app and re-open it. Unfortunately this means I lose the entire progress for the current day in the game which can be frustrating when I’ve done a lot of things already to really use the day’s time.
There is no log file available in the OS’s Files app. No “ErrorLogs” folder.
Steps to reproduce:
* Another user spotted that you need to enable “Type to Siri” feature in Settings. http://forums.stardewvalley.net/threads/stardew-freezes-glitches-on-ipad-pro.34458/post-158579 this setting is enabled by default.
1. Open Stardew Valley app
2. Load your saved game
3. Once the game is loaded. Double tap the bar at the bottom of the screen quickly.
4. Observe issue: character is stuck and endlessly is moving down.
