iOS iPad local co-op crash when both players perform combat/mining actions simultaneously

During local co-op multiplayer on iPad (joined via IP address), the client iPad consistently crashes when both players mine or attack monsters at the same time. The non/host player has to force-quit to the home screen and must rejoin the session.

Devices
• Host: iPad Pro 13” (M4), iPadOS 26.4.2, latest Stardew Valley update
• Client: iPad (8th gen), iPadOS 14.8, latest Stardew Valley update

Reproduction steps
1. Host starts a local co-op farm on the iPad Pro M4
2. Client joins via IP address on the iPad 8th gen
3. Both players move to the mines or an area with monsters/mineable nodes
4. Both players swing tools or weapons at roughly the same moment
Result: The client (iPad 8th gen) freezes and can’t move. The host’s game continues running normally.
Expected: Both players can perform overlapping combat/mining actions without crashing.
Frequency: 100% reproducible when actions overlap.
Troubleshooting already attempted
• Different Wi-Fi networks
• Different IP addresses
• Confirmed both devices on latest game version and latest available OS

Notes
The crash only occurs on simultaneous action. It’s unclear whether the older hardware (iPad 8th gen) or the iPadOS 14 / iPadOS 26 version mismatch between host and client is contributing.

Thank you!!
