iOS books?

Playing the latest version on iOS. Year 3 summer. Trying to get the alleyway cookbook and I have walked all over the fence in that area trying to get onto the secret path and nothing works. Also it says on wiki that the bookseller is marked with a balloon on calendar and there is nothing there for 3 seasons now. Are books not available yet on iOS or am I missing something else?

No, they are only available on PC at the moment. They’re part of the 1.6 update that hasn’t been released on mobile or console yet.
