Integrated addon-system?

I think it would be nice to have an integrated addon-system build directly into the system, so one has no need to load extra software.
Also I would appreciate when a bigger SDV update carries the best addons within which are tested regarding good compatibility.
ps.: integrated addons do not have to be activated already. Activation should be optional.

I fully endorse this. It would however, require a dedicated server for browsing and installing add-ons, not to mention a built-in system leveraging SMAPI. So there are logistical challenges involved.

Still, it would be a great addition to the game.
