I have stardew valley on my computer & a stardew valley on my switch 2. I wish they could let you do cross-save because I would rather play stardew valley on my switch 2 instead of my pc because I play my switch 2 more than my pc when it comes to certain games and this one would be one of those games that i would play a lot on my switch 2 if I had my copy of my pc version on my switch 2 :(

it would be nice if you could, my sister has a similar issue because she uses the Apple Arcade version of sv and now wants the paid version, hopefully they update this in the future so you can move your files it would :(

It's just down to console manufactuers unfortunately, as they don't allow for file access on their devices. It's pretty taxing to do a shared server system like how minecraft does with realms, too, and I'm not even sure how something account-based would work with stardew unless it gets a large menu/logistical overhaul.

I wish this was more common knowledge. Like, when they ported Doom to run on a space satellite, they did it because it was funny and silly and hugely impractical. It's like asking your toaster to run Mario Kart.

It has cross-save for Android, so I would assume you can lay the blame for the lack on Switch solely on Nintendo. I fact, I think I've heard that technically the saves are compatible, there's just no way to transfer them... unless you have a hacked switch (probably not a good option for the average player).
