iOS I can’t empty my silo

I have an iphone11 and installed the latest update and have been playing about a week. I updated my coop to the deluxe but still am unable to empty my solo. I checked a previous game where I had no problems with emptying the silo but that previous game will not allow me to empty the silo any longer either. What can i do?

Do you have animals and empty space on the feeding bench?

Can you take hay out but only once? My problem is after it takes the hay out it automatically selects it in inventory, so if I tap again it goes back. I have to direct an empty inventory space each time.

I have animals, and i got rid of all the hay in the trough with Cherry bombs. Ii can pick up hay from the feeder and it will pick up any number i want (100+), but only 3 will go into my inventory. So although it says I’m taking it out, only 3 are successful and taking 3 at a time would not be feasible for emptying the silo

are there 3 empty spots from the cherry bomb? That’s how it’s always worked, you pick up the number that you need to fill the bench.

Before i installed the update last week, i was always able to empty the silo and put the hay in a chest for storage, which enabled me to cut more grass and refill the silo. Now i can only remove 3 at a time. When i attempt to remove the hat from the silo, it appears i can take out as much as i want because the number shows the quantity increase, while the hay quantity in my inventory stops at three.

I am trying to describe it the best I can, do you ever remove all the hay from your silo and store it in a chest so you can cut more grass and refill the silo?

It is a common practice and always worked for me before this version update. And the update also caused my previous game to no longer be able to empty the silo, so i feel it must be a bug. If i uninstall stardew, I’ll lose everything and have no guarantee the new install will have the fix, correct?

Where do you see the increase? And do you see a decrease in the hay in the silo?

How many animals do you have in that building?

I have 4 chickens in the deluxe coop with space in the hay trough for 12 animals. My solo is full. I emptied the trough. When I attempt to take hay from the hay bin next to the trough, there is a box on the lower left hand corner that states the quantity I’m removing from the solo and the longer i keep taking hay from the hay bin, The higher the number goes. That’s all normal. The issue comes from the fact that in my inventory box, hay does show up but it won’t go past 3 pieces, even though the box on the lower left hand corner may say 40 or 100 or 200 etc. When i stop taking hay from the hay bin, the lower left hand corner box that shows how much i removed from the silo goes away, but the inventory still shows only 3 pieces went into my inventory.

Yes the hay in the silo decreases by the amount shown in my inventory, 3 pieces less in the silo.

Yes, that is the issue that I mentioned above: you take three, and then you put them back. What you need to do is take three, tap on an empty inventory slot, take three again, tap on an empty inventory slot, etc.

Although you should be taking four if you have four animals.

Prior to this update, I used to be able to take out as much hay as I wanted, at one time. Are you saying I can no longer do that?

Prior, you could tap on the feeder and it wouldn’t select the slot. So it still works, but it’s more annoying now because you have to select another slot each time.

I’m trying to understand what you are saying. So i can take out the hay from the silo 3 at a time and put them in my inventory and then repeat that process until my inventory is full of 3-hay bundles? Yikes, I was looking to fix a bug, it sounds like my “bug” was in fact a “fix” to what was the prior process?!

You always took out 3 at a time (or 12 at most of you had 12 animals and 12 free spaces). It’s just that you used to be able to just keep clicking, and now you have to click on an empty inventory space in between.
