i accidentally gifted away my watering can!!!!!

so i accidentally gave away my watering can to Linus. is there any way for me to get it back :-(

How is that possible? You should not be able to give away the basic tools. I've heard of a bug (and also encountered it; it was upgraded ) where a tool or weapon disappears mysteriously. Can be found at the "lost and found" at Lewis' next day -- as an unupgraded vanilla version)

(usually when a tool is lost, I find it finally in a random chest, auto-grabber or the like or fridge...)
