iOS I’m on mobile and it’s basically impossible to add hooks, bait, etc to my Fiberglas rod

I’m on mobile and I recently bought a Fiberglass rod so I could add a hook so it were more steady to catch fish but when I tried to add the hook I tried bait lure everything but it didn’t work, yes I have tried to tap and hold my items then tap the rod but I’m getting kind of pissed because anything I search won’t work and it gets annoying to play the game

It only works if you’re doing it from the open inventory. It’s just a drag & drop.
if that doesn’t work some screenshots to see what you’re doing might be helpful.

I'm assuming by hook, you mean the Barbed Hook?

Fiberglass Rod can only equip Baits. So if you want to equip the hook and other tackles, you'd have to buy the Iridium Rod, which you could buy at Willy's when you reach Fishing Level 6.

Also, to equip a baits or tackles, drag and drop the item to the rod in your open inventory.
