How to solve the jewel bird puzzle on ginger island?

Are you sure they are in the right order? Can you still move them?

You have to put the correct gem in the appropriate spot. The gem the bird in the northern area drops goes at the top, the gem the bird in the west area drops goes on the left, the gem the bird in the east area drops goes on the right and the gem the bird in the south are drops goes on the bottom. Unfortunately they are random gems. I usually place them as I find them so I don't forget which ones I got.
