Question How does the Adopt N' Skin mod work?

I know its an animal reskinner but it says adopt too so how can I adopt other animals? It talks about finding wild horses and having more than 1 cat or 1 dog.

Yep, "Marnie finds stray pets that you can adopt" from the mod description. You should be able to adopt from Marnie's, and yeah, you can have multiple cats/dogs/horses. There's a lot of information on the mod page, which can be a little overwhelming, but it's because it does a lot of stuff :) For example, in the configuration options section, it says you can control what the chances are of finding a stray at Marnie's:

StrayChancePercentage : The chance of a stray pet appearing each day at Marnie's, after the player obtains their first pet. By default, this is set to 60%

Good luck, and don't forget to use the beta version as the mod page says!

There isnt a beta version listed. I have android. Could I do like Ellies dog replacement mod with this? How can I change the percentage? It says I have nothing to open the config file witheven though I have notebook

I linked the beta version in my reply, and it's at the top of the mod page, but it's for update version 1.5+ and not Android. The mod description does specifically recommend and link to Elle's animal sprites, as they have versions packaged for it so you can have lots of animals all with different Elle skins. You just want the one that says "For use with Adopt 'n Skin or MoreAnimals".

On PC any plaintext editor can open/edit a json file, but the top 2 search results for a json editor on Android are JSON Genie and JSON Editor. I haven't used either of them or any other, but maybe they will point you in the right direction. You could also edit online and then resave it to the same place, I guess, though that seems like a pain...

.so I just saved as a new file the config put it in place of the original made it 100 instead of 60 and I went to marines and no dogs or cats to adopt
