Android How do I add a line of code in the manifest file of stardew valley app so I can fix the external storage permission bug and actually play the game

When I open th app, I get asked for storage permission yet I already permitted it and I'm just stuck on the chucklefish screen. Can someone please give me a step by step instruction on how to add a line of code in the manifest file to fix this? I'm a total tech noob and I'm just trying to play stardew. My phone isn't a Huawei so I can't fix the external storage issue using gsspace. Please help...
