How about Advanced Wells which can water Irrigated Crops in a radius around them?

Wells are kinda neglected. I had an idea a while back that they should give you some sort of watering can buff for more water - but what if you could also upgrade your wells, to allow them to irrigate nearby crops like rice and taro tubers? This could even work on the sand on the beach, for a neat alternative to sprinklers!

I'm thinking something like, a well with a little spout off the front. And maybe you could even build irrigation canals off it? They'd be kinda like paths or fences, uncrossable, but you could build little 'gates'(bridges) that could gap over them, and they could water irrigated crops AND you could fill your watering can off them!

The only problem I see is filling the same sort of niche that sprinklers have, and with no clear difference (as neither are really harder than placing them, no need to set up pipe systems or manage water or anything)

I do really like the idea of them irrigating rice and taro tubers, though. I feel like those crops are bad enough as it is without being effectively nerfed if you don't have barely a couple dozen of them in an awkward layout around your farm pond

Hmmmm... You should be able to make your well into a big well and a deluxe well, just like coops and barns.

Yeah rice and taro tubers aren't very good but the fact that you have to plant them near water just makes me put all my taro tubers in the fridge.

I like the idea cuz I see no use for the current well too.

Also at present it takes to much space. A smaller fountain basin as 1x1 would be enough.
But if you could enhance the well it would make more sense to take up so much space.

BTW an upgrade could also be visual like this...
...and a final expansion could look like this...
