Hoping for future update to allow for changing pets

I accidentally chose a cat instead of a dog, d’oh. On Year 3 and I’m still annoyed by it.
I understand that you used to be able to alter pet appearance/breed at the Shrine of Illusion but this is no longer the case…
Really hoping a future update will allow this again. I know you can edit the pet through the save file but it would be great to be able to do it through the game!

When the 1.4 update added additional types of cats and dogs to the game, the shrine added the ability to change between them, so if you have a pet cat you can change to one of the other cats. That option is still there in the game.

Unfortunately it's never been possible to change your pet from a cat to a dog (or from a dog to a cat), but that would certainly be nice to see added in the future!

Just adding onto what Odin said, if you are on pc and mobile you can change/add,remove pets from within the game files if you really want to

Hmm wondering how this works since im on ios and do not see an option to change pet breed in shrine of illusions

If you have a dog currently, the shrine will let you change to a different type of dog, but not to cat. And the same for if you have cat currently. It doesn't offer the feature originally requested in this thread.

This is now possible in 1.6!

• You can now get multiple pets (after getting max hearts with your starter pet).
