Hey guys, I don't actually own Stardew Valley yet, I've watched gameplay of it and analysis of it on YouTube and it seems like a wonderful game. I just made a Steam account, so maybe when I get enough money, I can actually get around to buying it and experiencing it for myself.

If you couldn't tell, my favourite villager is Haley since we share the same name, and honestly, her personality is really similar to mine, and I thought it was a perfect match. I'll definitely try and befriend her the most when I get the game.

Since this is nothing short of an introduction thread, I guess I should say a few things about myself:

Despite my location being "Pelican Town", I'm actually from the US, I live in NY and my favourite thing to do is draw and learn different languages because I think linguistics are beautiful and when you learn the base of a language you can actually do a lot with it, almost like a mathematical expression.

My favourite colour is probably blue or a deep pink, and I suppose we can treat this as an AMA thread since I'm not sure what is customary for introductions.

I haven't gotten around to viewing many of the threads and the people who interact here, but I would love to dip my toes in the activity since I am very much a social animal

Oh, that's a hard question. Honestly, there's a lot of stuff everywhere. Maybe try the forum games if you're feeling creative?

Wild sunflowers are something else, they grow in groups and it's always lovely seeing them look towards the sun! Growing them is almost like taking care of a baby, it's great as a distraction or preparation for the real world, I highly recommend that you do try looking after some plants!

Alright! I see a lot of threads to do with counting and using words, I love little brain teasers so I'll definitely check those out, they just require a lot of attention sometimes and it's hard to be creative if you aren't in the right frame of mind for it

It would, but really the rank doesn't matter that much and there are a lot of wonderful people here who haven't gotten it yet.

Well I am right now with some help, I'm not responsible or knowledgeable enough to do it myself. Though I guess the latter isn't much of an argument because you can search up a lot of stuff and learn as you do.

Honestly I don't like counting ones, they feel like message farms than anything else and creative ones are way more fun. But some people prefer them, so who am I to tell them what to do and how to play.

I agree with you, they lack substance and in a social place like the forums I really want to avoid numbers, I already see them too much in AP math

If you're worried about repeated words, you can search the word you want to post and click "in this thread only" while in that thread to find out if it's already been done.

You get awarded trophies (you can see the ones you got and avaliable ones in your profile) that give you points and those bring ranks

I have a plectranthus growing and it looks awesome I love It's leaves that are purple in some spots!
