I'm pretty sure you can't just turn a singleplayer farm into a multiplayer one. Also it's your ip that matters there's no code. You need something like Zero Tier One for playing with people across the world.

Oh I forgot that the person was on Switch.

You need Switch online and need to friend the person you wana play with. Tap on your user icon and tap on profiles to get your friend code and give that to another player. This only works for people who have a Switch tho.

The switch online doesn't work for me with is sad because there's so much people to play with on the Switch.
