Starting with the 1.5 release Steam doesn't see an update available and won't update the game. Steam itself is up to date. To update the game to 1.5 I had to uninstall and reinstall the game twice. Then for no apparent reason it saw the game update and downloaded it. Running the verify game files on Steam it says everything is ok, back when I updated it to 1.5 it said that before and after it did the update. Verifying the files didn't trigger the update. it only happened after an uninstall-reinstall cycle. Now even uninstalling and reinstalling the game multiple times won't let it see the update to 1.5.1 even though I see the post about it in game activity. Every time it downloads the game it gets 1.5 instead of 1.5.1. I had mods running in 1.4.5, but I moved all of them to a folder outside of the Stardew Valley folder in the Steam default install location since trying to get the 1.5 version.
