PC [HELP] Stardew won't open.

Hello so i recently bought stardew valley during the midweek madness sale on steam, but i haven't been able to open stardew and i've tried to reinstall the xna framework i've tried clearing the startup files but no matter what i try i can't get it ti start. so if someone could help it would be very nice thank you.

Here's a few other things you can try:

• Make sure you have speakers or headphones plugged in. (They can be muted, but the game needs a working audio device.)
• Disable your antivirus if you have one

This happened to me too. I’m trying to get it figured out as well. :( It worked fine until I tried to play it recently and I don’t remember changing anything

have you tried to uninstall and reinstall stardew?

Im noticing a few people with the same problem, and they all seem to have got it from steam, wonder if its related.

Most people on PC get their games from Steam, if Steam itself was causing an issue with Stardew you would see many, many more reports :)

Yea I uninstalled and reinstalled a few times. Did everything on the common troubleshooting page and anything else I could find and nothing worked.

If I launch it just destroys my disk loading for a second, then says I’m not playing without ever even opening. Don’t know if it could be related at all, but it seems like Terraria has the same exact problem
