Solved [HELP] SDV takes too long to open and crashes when loading a character

Hi,
My friend just downloaded SDV yesterday on Steam. For some reason, the game takes her around 8 minutes just to open, and whenever she loads into a character, the game just crashes while being stuck in the "Loading" screen. Same thing happens in Co-op as well.
Does someone know if there is any way to fix this?

Please try Compatibility Mode in Steam first if you haven't already:

Gear Icon --> Properties --> Betas --> Select compatibility - For 32-bit systems. The legacy, XNA version of Stardew Valley.

This has worked for a lot of people, though definitely not everyone.

Hey, thanks for your advice. Apparently the reason why SDV needed a long time to load was, somehow, because she had LogMeIn Hamachi already open ( A friend had a cracked SDV so we needed it ). I honestly don't know why it does that but thank you so much. You guys are the best.
