HELP ME WITH THE MODS

Please help me! I don't know where to look for help anymore. The thing is, I'm using the mod Way back to Pelican Town and Medival building expanded. The bottom line is that most of the mods work fine, but in the woods, at the house of Marnie, Leia and Andy, there are vanilla mailboxes and they don't change in any way. I tried to write to the author of the mods, but unfortunately she did not answer me. These mailboxes look very eye-catching and it's driving me crazy. Please tell me if I can somehow change the textures of the mailboxes myself and not break the game (I'm a complete zero in modding), or at least advise mods that can help me. Thank you in advance.

If the mod is just a content patcher mod it should be fine. I found one easy by googling.

If you want to like, make custom assets, you can either do that the easy way, (content patcher) or the hard way (just changing the direct files via xnb file modding.)
Just do the easy way because if those files ever get updated it will mess up.

Thank you for your response, but unfortunately it didn't help me. I tried to follow the instructions and change the images myself, but I guess I'm too dumb for that, haha. I'll have to endure the ugly email boxes and wait for the mod author's response.
