PC Help! I Can't Bait My Fiberglass Rod Anymore!

I'm playing 1.4 on a Mac. I have always baited my rod by just picking up the bait from my inventory and dropping it on my rod in my inventory. That is not working for some reason, and that hook gotta be baited. Help?

No. I have three farms and it has worked fine on the other two (IOS platforms, not Macbook), and actually used to work fine on this one. I have some bait on there, but it's dwindling fast as I try to level up to the iridium rod.
