Help getting Mushroom Hat

I feel like I'm going crazy and need help/guidance.

I have about 20 full grown mushroom trees. I'm trying to 100% hats. I have max luck through fortune teller, two lucky rings, magic rock candy, and the special charm. Hours. Hours. Hours. I soft reset the day and try again. Nothing. The occasional golden mystery box will drop or the goggles hat but...that's it. I play on switch if that makes a difference. I even was going to try the item ID glitch out of desperation but found it doesn't work on console.

Someone please guide me!

I don't think increasing luck helps with getting that hat. The wiki page on the luck stat doesn't mention it increasing the chance of getting cosmetic items.

Ugh! is there any tricks or just keep resetting the day?

I think your choices may be down to keep resetting, or leave the mushroom trees alone for a day or two to regain some semblance of sanity and try again later (with possible multiple resets).
