Solved [HELP] Game Will Not Launch

I've got a lot of Stardew Valley under my belt; almost 1200 hours worth, in fact. I decided to revisit the game after a few months of not playing, in order to check out the new update. And now the game won't run at all. Running it from the Steam library doesn't work, running from the game folder doesn't work, running from a desktop shortcut doesn't work. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, running the game as an administrator, re-installing Microsoft XNA; everything that every webpage has told me to try, I have tried, and nothing seems to work.

Any advice on how to fix this issue would be very much appreciated.

If you've tried everything recommended on the wiki (https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Modding:Player_Guide/Troubleshooting#Game_doesn.27t_launch), I recommend installing SMAPI and seeing if that solves you issue. See https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Modding:Installing_SMAPI_on_Windows.

I wanted to chime in that we had the exact issue, also on PC. Had been playing the day before with no problem, then the next day this happened to my partner on his PC but mine kept on working fine. We did all the same troubleshooting and nothing worked. Eventually just gave up. Today we installed SMAPI after reading this thread, which instantly fixed it.
