Switch [HELP] Elliott’s 14-heart event won’t trigger!

Just as the title says, Elliott and my farmer have been married for a couple weeks now and I just reached 14 hearts with him yesterday, woke up today and the event won’t trigger when I go outside the farmhouse. I have…

1. Reached 14 hearts.
2. Checked and made sure that there is not a festival in 8 days, it is Fall 6 of Year 2.
3. It is between 6am and 3pm.
4. He is inside this morning, and when I talked to him, he asked if I’ll be okay with him gone even though I haven’t triggered the event.

It is raining today…is that maybe why?

If it is raining he won't be on the porch. He needs to be on the porch for the event to trigger so far as I know.

If he is giving the dialogue about you being okay with him gone, though, it suggests the event has begun. If you end the day it is likely he'll be off on his book tour.
