PC [HELP] can't find fishing rod and sword that were offered to me

hello,
Im new, i play on pc. I receive as gift a fishing rod from willy and frome the man in the mine an old sword. Theses 2 objects don't appearin the game (inventory, bag, anywhere) could you help me please ?

i manage to buy a fishing rod instead but for the sword, the guild isn't open and i die in the mine without a weapon even by using tools

I ended up losing my sword from dying. From going in the mine or visiting the guild you'll receive a quest from someone to kill ten slimes, it takes forever with the pickaxe but it's doable and then you'll unlock the adventurers guild and be able to buy the wooden sword. I died 2-3 times before I was able to kill ten.

I recommend using the scythe until you can get another sword.
